Cart-Elements

A modular system to build the trailer, cart or stroller that you need, when you need it.

Description

What's the ultimate trailer? When I'm carrying stuff from the hardware store, it's a robust system that can hold items of unusual sizes. When I go to the market, it's a simple box that I can pull with my bike. When I go for a day trip with my family, it's a comfortable and secure transport where my child can sit and relax. Do I need one different trailer for each specific case? With Cart-Elements, it's not a problem anymore; Instead of buying a complete trailer, you will pick only the elements that you need. You can always add or remove parts later. If you have the right elements, it takes only a few minutes to change from a stroller, to a market cart, to a cargo trailer, and much more... There are 10 basic elements to pick (see illustration): A. The Base Unit: It's a strong aluminum frame on which other elements will lock, and two detachable 20 inch wheels. B. The Suspension: Essential for long rides with kids, it will gently bounce when you ride through obstacles, making it stable and comfortable for the little passengers. C. The Stroller Wheels: They turn the trailer into a stroller or a cart. Similar to what's found on the Thule Chariot transport systems. The wheels rotate freely, so the stroller can maneuver easily. D. The Multi-Functional Box: That's where your stuff and passengers will go. It's a simple box that will fit tightly on the base unit or on the suspension element, if you have one. E. The Child Seat: It can be fixed on the front or back of the box (or both, if you have two seats). The seat has padding and seat belts, with space for one child in the middle, or two children if they sit tightly. F. The Bike Attachment: It attaches to your rear wheel, using an axle mount (see the Weber trailer hitch for example). G. The Handle: If you want to pull your cart by hand (at the beach, or for working in your garden for instance), this flexible handle will give you all that freedom. H. The Safety Flag: It makes you more visible on the road. I. The Stroller Handle: Use it to push the device as a cart or a stroller. J. The Roof: It's made of waterproof fabric and mesh over a strong frame, with a zipper door on the front, similar to what most children bike trailers have. Please have a look at the attached picture for some example combinations. Do you have ideas for a different combination or useful elements that are not on the list? Please share in the comments! With Cart-Elements, you get is a cart, a trailer, a stroller, and much more. Transform it when you want, depending on what you need!
