This is simple concept based on the foldable wheelchair design, now modified for the bicycle trailer design. As such trailer is easy to use, prepare and attach to bicycle and fold back for storage. If you have space for a bike you can find space for such foldable trailer. It is possible to use different frames based on this foldable mechanism, it can be with centered axis position or back axis position, depending on desired load capacity. Illustrations show centered axis design with help wheels to prevent possible load imbalance that could get bicycle and driver airborne. Adding of the waterproof fabric in a form of a removable liner (see illustrations) is an answer to fluid resistant requirement - allows to transport leaking materials. Also, liner since is foldable fabric it is not necessary to remove liner priory folding. Liner can be removed for washing. This foldable concept allows to use trailer in different stages of a fold - resulting in a trailer that occupy less space. For example, you can transport what you have, unload and return with folded trailer that is now more compact and easier to drive. Trailer can be used for transporting different goods and materials. Illustrated design uses wood beams for a floor that are removable if desired or for placing in different fashion depending on transport needs (possible made from recycled woods or your bio-composites, but you can use also a metal floor or what you find suitable from available recycled material selections). There can be more than one mechanism support points and for additional floor support a cables (ropes) are included. Trailer can be attached to bike in multiple ways, illustrations show lower on wheel connection with turning arms for easy storage. For lower cost design you can use cables as flexible joints instead of revolution joints. You can use trailer to transport all sorts of goods, and even those of considerable weight, for example in a weight equivalent of a grown person. It is possible to install a child seat and include elements for transporting children, you can add a roof made from fabric if desired. However, considering child and trailer situation in general, I will not recommend such practice of using trailer to drive children. Bicycle trailers offer zero protection against vehicles, second child is out of your sight, and even if accident is not yours to blame that fact offers no comfort. The use is similar to foldable wheelchair, just pull-up to fold, press to unfold. Security brakes are included in a same fashion, acting on wheels to hold a trailer during load/unload process. Some of future workers could be familiar with this foldable wheelchair concept (people from the Allgäuer Werkstätten, the Sunnahof in Vorarlberg) and having workers that are already familiar with design is also a good thing.
